Summer Youth Employment Program

Camden County OEO's Summer Youth Employment Program is seeking high school students ages 16 and older. Students are placed in six-week, summer jobs related to their career interests. Participating youth receive orientation for work and training in interviewing skills, resume writing, appropriate on-the-job behavior and workplace environment expectations prior to internship job placements.

We place successful, motivated youth seeking an opportunity to gain experience in the workplace, in their field of interest or choice.

Youths are placed with employers for a minimum of 20 hours per week for 10 weeks. Any additional hours worked will be paid by the employer. Also, it is the employer's discretion to continue employment of the youth, and at the cost to the employer, after the 10 weeks have been completed.

All employers agree to uphold the State of New Jersey's standards against employment discrimination, retaliation and workplace ethics.
